Kick-Start | May 2011 - CANCELLED

Due to a hectic schedule the Kick-Start course has been pushed down the priority list somewhat, but I’ve set time aside on Saturday 14th May for the next event.

Location is Howth, Co. Dublin. It’s not as central as the previous locations this course has been held, but it’s served by the DART and provides a bunch of visually interesting objects & structures. Meeting times and places have been sent to confirmed participants.

Some quick points about the course. It’s…

  • Free… my gift to you
  • Going to last about 4-5 hours, very little of which will be spent sitting around
  • Open to anyone with a digital SLR camera
  • Limited to a maximum of 10 people!

The course is intended to give photographers a foundation in the basics of exposure and camera functionality upon which they can build… essentially getting the camera out of ‘Auto’ mode and exploiting it’s full potential. Much more will be covered as we shoot, including the use of filters, flash photography (and off-camera flash) plus a bunch of tips & tricks thrown into the mix.

If you want to attend, get in touch here. Please include the following details:

  • Full Name
  • Email address & contact number
  • What camera you’ll be using
  • What you hope to learn from the course
  • What aspect(s) of digital photography you’ve most difficulty with (i.e Exposure, Sharpness, Post-Processing, Printing etc.)

The more questions asked the better, so if you have any leave them as a comment below.

Cheers
